On April 17, 2024 PQLC member organizations and PCHETA advocates participated in a Lobby Day on Capitol Hill for our 9th grassroots event!

Together, 51 participants met with 46 Senate offices asking for support of the bill and thanking Senators who already cosponsor.

On November 1, 2023 PQLC member organizations and PCHETA advocates participated in an Online Day of Action

Together, we contacted 96 Senate offices with more than 1,500 messages through email, social media and phone calls asking for support of the bill and thanking Senators who already cosponsor.

PQLC & PCHETA 8th Grassroots Lobby Day 2023

On June 21, 2023, the Patient Quality of Life Coalition held its 8th grassroots  Lobby Day in Washington, DC. 51 advocates representing 26 states met with 52 Senate Offices on the Palliative Care and Hospice Education and Training Act (PCHETA). We are grateful for all the support of our members and the lawmakers who met with us.

 

 

 

 

PQLC & PCHETA 7th Grassroots Lobby Day 2022

On June 22, 2022, the Patient Quality of Life Coalition held its 7th grassroots virtual Lobby Day in Washington, DC. 48 advocates representing 22 states met with 27 Senate Offices on the Palliative Care and Hospice Education and Training Act (PCHETA), S. 4260. PQLC & PCHETA 6th Annual Lobby Day 2019

On June 20, 2019, the Patient Quality of Life Coalition held its 6th annual Lobby Day in Washington, DC. 83 advocates from 23 organizations met with 90+ Congressional Offices on the Palliative Care and Hospice Education and Training Act (PCHETA), H.R. 647. We are grateful for all the support of our members and the lawmakers who met with us. See you next year!

PCHETA Hill Briefing

On May 17, 2018, the Patient Quality of Life Coalition held a briefing on Capitol Hill for congressional staff and stakeholders. The event featured a panel with experts on the delivery of palliative care, managing a palliative care team, palliative care research, and family/caregiving to highlight the importance of the bill and further educate staff. The briefing was widely attended.
